The coasters are made with 4.25" ceramic tiles with felt adhesive on the back to protect your furniture. There are several coats of protective sealant, so these are water-resistant, but not totally water proof. (Don't put them in the dishwasher, but you can, however, wipe them off with a damp cloth.)
